Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra 34KK/75KK and Thong 20/48 – Detailed Review

Read my detailed review of the Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra 34KK/75KK and Thong 20/48. Get fit and sizing info and see how the set looks on me!

I have written many a review of Ewa Michalak lingerie here on my blog. If you’re wondering why, it’s simply because this brand is the only one I’ve found so far that fits my large bust, thanks to Ewa’s narrow wires and deep cups. It’s pretty lucky that the lingerie is also flipping gorgeous, as well as being fun and quirky. Today I am reviewing a set that fits this description perfectly: the Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra.

(I also want to give a big shout out to Ewa Michalak for their increasingly diverse range of models. Ewa has always used women with a wide range of body shapes in her promotional photos, and more recently she has extended this to varied ages as well. This glamorous lady shows us that Ewa’s lingerie can look just as cracking on a more mature body as it does on the more youthful models. Hurrah!)

If you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll know that I am a big fan of leopard print, and as far as I am concerned with lingerie I like my leopard print the gaudier the better! So the Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra and Thong set ticked a lot of boxes for me, with its beige, brown, and black leopard print combined with black lace and mesh and finished off with claret satin edging.

I was sent the Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa bra in 34KK/75KK and the matching thong in 20/48.

The set was everything I hoped for, and more. The fit was great, the aesthetic was fantastic, and I was a very happy lingerie blogger!

I paired the Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra and Thong set with my Kix’ies Lois Thigh Highs and some heels from New Look.

The Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra comprises lightly padded foam cups, which are covered in leopard print fabric on the outside and lined with black cotton fabric on the inside. The top half of the cups is covered with black lace, and this helps to break up the animal print and confirm this bra’s use as a bra and not a bikini top.

The outer seams across the fronts of the cups are cleverly disguised with overlaid claret satin ribbon, which adds a sumptuous feel to the design. A lighter, brighter red could have made this bra look tacky but the rich and deep claret hue is perfect. There is also a claret satin bow on the central gore, but for once there are no bows anywhere else on the bra.

The Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra is a lightly padded balconette. There are removable pads in the bottoms of the cups, which are intended to help minimise the appearance of asymmetric breasts. Although I don’t need them for this purpose, I tend to leave one pad in each cup as it gives them a bit of additional support and sturdiness. It’s worth noting that one pad will reduce the cup volume by about half a cup size.

You can see from some of my photos that I have a touch of quadboobing going on, which indicates the cup is on the small side for me. This quadboobing disappears when I wear the bra without a pad in the bottom of each cup, so my ideal size in this bra would be 34L/75L. That way, I would be able to wear the bra with the pads in without any appearance of the cups being too small for me.

The Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra’s cups are made from four part construction (three sections across the lower half of the cup and one continuous long section on the upper) and the light foam padding provides a more sturdy boulder holder than an unpadded option. The S style of bra provides more coverage than the PL (plunge) style as it has a higher centre gore.

The Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra’s band fastens with four rows of three hooks and eyes. As you can see from my photos, I wear this bra with an extender as the band is on the tight side. However, these photos were taken several months ago and since then the band has loosened up somewhat so I can now wear the bra without an extender. The Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra’s band definitely runs tighter than some other Ewa Michalak bras I have tried recently.

The straps are officially halfway adjustable, but I am sure the adjuster could be forced onto the front half of the straps if it was necessary to make them shorter. The front of the straps features the same claret satin as the seams across the cups, and there is edging down the sides of the straps to stop the adjuster sliding out of place during wear. I find this works very well and my straps stay at my desired length without any trouble at all. The straps are wider than many UK bras of a comparable size, and because of the ribbon embellishment they are less stretchy than some other bras.

As I often say, I adore the narrowness of the wires on Ewa Michalak bras. I just don’t understand why UK bra manufacturers don’t sit up and take notice of this and adjust their large cupped bras accordingly!

The Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra’s wires comfortably encase my breast tissue so that the central gore lies flat and the wires under my arms do not dig or poke, nor do they sit on my breast tissue at the sides.

The cups are wonderfully deep and they hold my breasts like two giant hands at the front of my body. No Ewa Michalak bra I’ve tried has ever pushed my boobs east/west and under my arms, and I love them for that! Again, this is something that UK bra manufacturers need to take into account – just because we have large boobs that doesn’t mean we want them hidden or minimised! I want my boobs to be exactly where they should be: at the front of my body. I like my boobs to stand proud and the S style bra certainly achieves this.

The bra supports my heavy breasts brilliantly and gives them a gorgeously rounded shape. I get a decent cleavage with the S style but it’s less pronounced than with the PL style.

The matching Kicia Szałowa thong is equally as wonderful as the bra. It is super comfortable to wear and is made of a substantial amount of material so there is no chance of the ‘cheese-grater’ effect happening here!!

I adore the cheeky black mesh on the crotch area as it gives a sneak peek of what lies (or not, depending on the grooming preference of the wearer) beneath. The black mesh continues underneath and up to the top of the bum crack, so there is another sexy hint of the body underneath the knickers. The gusset is lined with black cotton fabric for comfort.

The size 20/48 thong is a good fit for me and while I think I could have definitely fitted the 18/46 or even the 16/44 I do prefer my knickers/briefs/thongs to be on the loose side if anything so that they do not cut into my soft hips.

As mentioned earlier in this post, these photos were taken a couple of months ago and so I have worn this Ewa Michalak S Kicia Szałowa Bra and Thong set countless times since then. It’s one of my favourites, partly because of the leopard print fabric but also because of the great fit and comfort that this lingerie set provides.

  1. I need to order asap! Next month I am taking the Ewa Bra plunge! Thank you for your brilliant reviews! X

  2. Answering your question, the only leopard print lingerie I have is old Panache Sahara basque. Usually I don't go for animal print, and if I do, I rather go for larger items or furry items. If somebody made a leopard printed velvet-like lingerie, I'd like that :).

  3. Bravo! You look fabulous as always in Ewa! I'm falling more and more in love with this brand every day! You are seriously tempting me to place my first order…

  4. Fantastic! Leopard print is defiantly your thing! And mine too actually, I love any animal print. And with funky lingerie if you wear it under plain clothes no-one knows the fun prints underneath.
I really hope they will have this in stock come pay day as I need it in my life!

  5. This set is wonderful and you look ravishing in it. I think I'm going to pop my Ewa cherry soon, but I need you to measure my boobs first. 🙂 xx

  6. Love this – what a gorgeous set and you make it look perfect in every way, especially with how you have styled it. I need to buy me some Ewa!!!!! x
