Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki Bra 34KK 75KK – Detailed Review

Discover my detailed review of the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki Bra 34KK/75KK. The Polish lingerie brand goes from strength to strength with yet another masterpiece.

In December, I ordered some bras from Polish lingerie brand Ewa Michalak to make the most of a site-wide discount that was in place. I wanted to get my hands on some PL (plunge) bras, and so I added the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki Bra to my basket.

I love the red and white combination very much; in fact, it reminds me somewhat of the PL Garden that I absolutely adore but have sadly long since grown out of.

At the time of placing my order I was wearing a 34KK/75KK, and I was pleased to see this size was available in the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki, so that was what I went with.

I am wearing the removable pads in the bottom of the cups in these photos, and as you can see they make the cups just a little bit too small for me. When I wear the bra nowadays I do so without the pads and the fit is good, but bordering on being too small. I therefore think a 34L/75L would be the right size for me at the moment.

Unfortunately, the matching briefs or thong were not available in my size, so for these photos I improvised with some red and white items I already had in my lingerie drawer.

First of all, here I am in the PL Słowianki Bra 34KK 75KK with some fab red ruffle frilly knickers from Yummy Bee, along with a suspender belt from eBay, my red plus size 20 denier matt finish Magic stockings from The Big Tights Company, and some red killer heels from eBay.

I think this look works well! At first I did wonder if the white suspender belt looked like a bird had pooed on my tummy, but I have grown to love these photos and now I am really pleased with how the combination of lingerie works together. In regular lighting, the reds are all quite similar hues, but in these photos my knickers and stockings have come out rather darker.

So, let’s talk about the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki bra. The PL style is simply a padded plunge; the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki Bra has lightly padded foam cups, and there are removable pads in the bottom of the cups (mentioned earlier) that can be kept in place or taken out to help correct the appearance of asymmetrical breasts. I wear the pads in both cups to give my boobs a bit of extra boost, and the additional layer of padding does help the cup to hold its shape for longer.

The four part cups (three on the bottom and one across the top) of the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki bra are covered in a red and white print on the bottom and a pretty red lace with white backing on the top. The cut of the cups provides a great shape for breasts, lifting them and holding them at the centre of the body. The support the cups give is excellent and they do not minimise the bust at all.

The Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki bra has some little details to make it look extra pretty: there is a large bow on the central gore, as well as a small bow at the top of each cup where the strap is attached. The diagonal seam across the cups is covered with a white satin ribbon, which adds a look of delicacy to the bra.

As ever, the narrow wires of this bra suit me very well and encase my breast tissue perfectly. The central gore of the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki bra is lower than Ewa’s other padded options because of course this is a plunge style, so anyone with softer breasts tissue might be better suited to the S cut, which has a higher gore. The gore lies flat against my sternum and does not poke me or cause irritation. Under my arms, the wires are not too tall and do not dig into my armpits.

The Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki bra’s band fastens with three rows of three hooks and eyes, and as you can see it runs a little on the small side as I am wearing it with an extender in these photos. There is a reasonable amount of stretch to the PL Słowianki Bra’s band so I know I will be able to stop using the extender when the band stretches out with wear.

The Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki bra’s straps are red with a white satin ribbon stitched down the front centre and there is a slight embellishment along the edges to ensure the adjusters do not move out of place during wear.

Although these straps were probably designed to only adjust halfway, it is possible to force the adjuster onto the front section if you need to wear your straps shorter. I generally find these straps very comfortable, but if I wear the bra on a very long day I notice that the ribbon down the middle causes a bit of a pinch point where the straps are stretching but the ribbon is not. This can occasionally give me shoulder ache, but I must emphasise this is only when I wear the bra for longer than usual, and even then it doesn’t happen every time.

It may look as though the straps are digging into my shoulders, but please appreciate that I have pretty squishy shoulders, and also boobs of the size of mine take quite a lot of hoisting and so some shoulder indentation is inevitable. Please rest assured that I would not keep reviewing Ewa Michalak bras if I routinely found them uncomfortable to wear. They are amongst the most comfy bras I have ever owned, and on top of that they look flipping amazing, so it’s win-win all round!

As mentioned earlier in the post, I do get a bit of quadboob when wearing the pads in the cups of the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki bra, as seen here in these photos, but also sometimes it happens even without the pads. I therefore think that I would be better suited to one cup size up in this bra.

Whilst contemplating whether or not my white garter belt did indeed look like a bird splat running down my abdomen, I decided to take some more photos of the bra with different panties and hosiery. I opted for the same ruffled frilly knickers from Yummy Bee, but this time in white, and my red Prague Lady Lace Holdups from The Big Tights Company.

This is a great alternative look for anyone not wanting to wear a suspender belt, and how exciting to have red hold-ups!

Before I got acquainted with The Big Tights Company I never even knew red hosiery existed, and especially not for plus size women, but they have lots of sexy options available for larger ladies. Do check out their website – I wear their hosiery in the majority of my blog posts and can vouch for the quality of the items as well as the superb customer service provided by Laura. No, their prices are not the cheapest out there, but if you buy from them you will be getting hosiery that lasts and lasts, and also that fits incredibly well. It’s worth every penny in my book.

So, the Ewa Michalak PL Słowianki Bra is a firm favourite and at the moment I am wearing it at every possible opportunity. It’s great to have some colour in my lingerie drawer and I adore this pretty print of white flowers on a red background. I wonder if Ewa would ever consider making this bra in a royal blue and white print instead? I would absolutely love that!

  1. Girl you look fantastic. Those frilly pants look amazing on you. And both the white and the red work well with the bra and probably look better than the matching briefs would of done. I need this bra and the knickers in my life stat. Emma P x

    1. Thanks Emma. These frilly knickers certainly come in handy when I don't have the matching bottoms to a bra. And the bra itself is just SO pretty!

  2. That bra is fantastic and you make it look so good I may have to try one of their bras out myself ^_^

  3. I love the frilly knickers, they work so well with this bra. You look as gorgeous as ever and are yet again making me want to place an order with Ewa. xxx

    1. Thank you. I do like these knickers too, they are fun and different. They’re actually very comfortable, too! You NEED to try Ewa, you will never go back!

  4. I love the pattern of the bra, red and white always looks so pretty together! I am so tempted to order from Ewa for the first time xxx

    1. Yes, I adore red and white! Such a classic combination.
Do give Ewa a try – their lingerie is dreamy and the fit is unreal. You won’t regret it!

  5. This is so pretty and the colours suit you so well. How do you find the band compares to the PL Cappuccino? Are these measurements on Bratabase?

  6. Absolute babe words fail me this morning of how great you look x lady in red! I need to get this bra I will be ordering asap!!!

  7. What a useful review. I love how you have found solutions to the absence of matching briefs. Great options! Do they still sell the matching briefs do you know? I couldn’t find them on the website so probably not?

    1. Thanks! The Ewa website has the the most up to date information on what’s still available and what’s not. I’m afraid I don’t have any connection with them in terms of stock availability etc.

    2. Thanks – I will have another look on the website and maybe even email customer support. I know they sometimes make to order so I might get lucky.

  8. I love the different options you’ve chosen for the bottoms. So varied and fun! Red is a colour I don’t have much of in my lingerie drawer, I clearly need to change this stat! I am going to see if Ewa ships to my country.

    1. Thank you! Yes, red is a great colour for lingerie. In fact, on fair-mid skin tones at least, a plain red bra is less visible under white or light coloured clothing than a white or nude bra. I hope you get to place your order!

  9. love the colours of this bra. you are tempting me to place an order but I am not sure about my Ewa size x x

    1. Thanks Kitty – me too! Red and white go so well together.
Ewa has a great size calculator on the website, do take a look as it’s the best way to work out your size. They are good with returns too if needed.

  10. Red and white, excellent combination! This set is absolutely perfect on you. Does the pattern show through under a white shirt? I want to order one of these but not sure if I’ll be able to wear it under my work uniform.

  11. The red and white looks great! However, if you think your garter belt looks like too much of a big splash of white it would be solved if you just put the panties on over the top of the garter belt. This is how I have always assumed it's supposed to be done anyway. I wear my garter belts underneath my panties, not above. (Otherwise how else would we pee, and etc, when we wear them?)

    1. Actually suspender belts/garter belts (same thing, different dialect) can be worn either way. If wearing over knickers, you would just unhook the suspender belt at the waist to use the bathroom etc. Easy pee-sy! And in fact far more comfortable.
I prefer wearing them this way as the suspender belt gives a smoothing effect underneath my clothes, which isn’t achieved when wearing knickers over the top as you do.

  12. I do like colorful bras but need some nude ones for when I wear pastel colored tops and dresses. I will look at your blog to see if you have reviewed any of those. I look best in clear warm colors and pastels. I’m a 34J in UK sizing and a 34M in US sizing. I’m V-shaped with a proportionally too large bust. It simply means my shoulders are wider than my hips and mine are by 5 inches. My bust is 15 inches larger than my waist. My waist is 6 inches smaller than my hips but it’s a larger size on size charts. My bust is usually a size 22 or 3X, my waist is a size 12, and my hips are a size 8. I only buy my jackets and coat per my bust size for ability to close them. Well I can get away with wearing smaller sizes as some 1X pieces are too loose everywhere. Maybe because I fit 32 and 34 bands. My underbust measurement is 33 inches. I buy tops and dresses per my waist size. I also used to do that for my skirt and pants sizes but now they are loose so I should buy them per my hip size. I do have some bell bottom pants in a size 7/9 and some tops and leggings in size 3/5 which both fit. I still only fit higher rise junior sizes in pants although I’m in my early forties. I don’t have enough butt and hip for ladies sizes. I can fit any size range in everything else. I mostly wear dresses and skirts since I often burst the inner thigh seams (both my arms and legs start out wide and then naturally taper to being narrower). I think it’s actually the friction and not the size since I don’t get chaffing there when I wear dresses and skirts. I don’t do anything special to prevent chaffing there. I do have to for my bust though as I’ll get a heat rash there every time if I don’t apply a moisture absorbing powder or wear a sweat wicking bra liner. I don’t wear tights.
