Ewa Michalak PL Bratki Bra

As a child, my mum dressed me in blue whenever she could.  WIth my blue eyes, blonde hair and fair complexion I guess it was the natural choice but once I was older and made my own clothing choices it lead me to avoid wearing blue for a while as I’d had such an overdose.

These days, I wear clothes – and lingerie – in as many colours of the rainbow as I can.  Diversity is all good in my book.  That’s one of the many reasons I love Ewa Michalak lingerie as they have such a wide range of styles and designs on offer.

I was recently offered the chance to try some of the newer PL (plunge) range and, having overcome my earlier aversion to blue, I wanted to give the PL Bratki (Pansies) a try.

I went for the 65/30KK bra – I had found the 32 bands that I’d previously tried were definitely too big in the band for me – and 44/16 briefs.

Delicious!  The blue of the bra is slightly more violet in hue than my pics show, and I would possibly even describe it as lavender.  Whatever colour it actually is, it’s truly beautiful!

The PL Bratki’s cups are made from lightly padded foam and have removable pads which can help to improve the appearance of asymmetry.  In these photos, I have the pads in place in both cups but in reality I usually wear the bra without them as they do take up a bit of room inside.

The cups are edged with a pretty floral embellishment and there is a cute bow on the central gore (smaller than the bow in the stock photo).

Bratki’s straps are only halfway adjustable but the adjustable section is embellished with an embroidered strip down the middle, meaning that the adjusters do not slip with wear. The front half of the straps is made from (my least favourite type) elastic covered with fabric, but they feel different than those of the other Ewa Michalaks I have with this strap type and so far they have not stretched quite so quickly.

The straps overall are too long for me so I will be shortening them at some point.  My short shoulders have a lot to answer for!!  The straps are reasonably stretchy but not so much that you feel you have to adjust them all the time.

The PL Bratki’s band is made from fairly stretchy material so there is some give.  There are three rows of three hooks and eyes and I wear the bra on the loosest hooks, which is how it should be with a brand new bra.

The Bratki briefs are every bit as lovely as the bra.  They feature the same floral embellishments as the bra on the front and are double-lined for a touch of modesty, although they are still partially see-through.  On the backside, however, the briefs are completely sheer!  I do love how Ewa sets always have some cheekiness or naughtiness about them – and it’s often on the bottoms, which is fine by me!

I have found that the PL Bratki gives me fantastic shape, support and uplift; possibly moreso than some of my other Ewa Michalak bras.  I am not sure why this is as it is made in a very similar way to all the others and the straps are a bit too long for me.  But I love the rounded, boobalicious appearance this bra gives me and it’s one I will be wearing for a very long time to come.  I am so glad I managed to fall in love with blue again…

That is beautiful (and I'm glad to hear the color is more lavender-y, purple is my favorite color)!I also LOVE how the briefs look comfortable. I feel like women's underwear (at least on we shapelier figures) is either pretty/sexy or comfortable, never both.

The briefs are SO comfortable but pretty and sexy too. You're right that this is a rarity, although I must say all my EM briefs/thongs have been winners.

Hi,I'm considering ordering from this company and have read many different reviews online. For example, don't use their calculator (although they say to use it), go up one size in band and cup from your normal size, use your normal size, etc. What is your advice as to which size you should use as a starting point? And yes, I realize that each bra type will fit a little differently, and that you won't know until you try it on, but where do you start?!Thanks,Holly

Hi Holly, thanks for commenting. I highly recommend ordering from EM as their lingerie, in my opinion, is second to none. It is a bit of a fiddle working out your size but in my experience I am the same or perhaps one cup size up from my Freya size. I think the Butterfly Collection http://www.butterflycollection.ca/bra-size-calculator/ and A Sophisticated Pair http://www.sophisticatedpair.com/bracalculator.htm bra size calculators are usually pretty accurate and it's worth trying them both to double check. When you first order from EM I would suggest going for one style and ordering a few sizes so you can compare the fit before settling on what works best for you. Good luck!

Thanks. I think I've used the Butterfly Collection measuring before, but don't remember if I've used A Sophisticated Pair. I'll have to try those! And thanks for the recommendation about multiple sizes.Holly

I could only wind Bratki in CHP in Ewa Michalak's website. Are they all sold out or just not yet there?

You're right – it seems to have disappeared from the site. You could always email them to ask if it's possible for a bra to be made for you. Or, if you're looking for this shape rather than the colour specifically, this is the same but in mint green instead http://www.ewa-michalak.pl/product-eng-288-PL-Groszki-i-Roze.html.

The bra is beautiful, and really suit you! The briefs are so nice, and the sheerness of the backside is such a turn on! I have to find some of these!

Hehe thanks, Vlatka! I think the 30/65 band helps and the KK cups are good in this bra. Since starting this blog, I have lost some weight, especially around my middle, which is nice. It hasn't disappeared from my boobs though, thank goodness! Although I am sure Ewa Michalaks will always show a woman's assets off to their best advantage 😉
