Maxi dresses are great. They are wearable all year round and can be worn casually or for a fancy soirée - it all depends on the dress itself and the accessories you choose to wear with it. I love a good maxi and have reviewed several on my blog in the past.
You may have seen my previous post in which I mentioned that the lovely Kinga from BiuBiu very kindly sent me a package of goodies recently. Next up for review from this parcel is the BiuBiu Modena Shirt in Red (£25.87):
Curvy Wordy is a blog charting my quest to find comfortable, stylish and fashionable clothing to fit my extreme hourglass figure. My out-in-out body (46-30-47) can be rather a beast to clothe so I get very excited when I find things that work, which is why I decided to start sharing my findings with you all via this blog. Today I am going to tell you about a fantastic boob friendly clothing brand from the same country as Ewa Michalak (designer and manufacturer of my favourite lingerie): Poland.
Back in May I tried on the gorgeous FreyaGem bra at Leia Lingerie, Bluewater. I fell in love with the look and shape it gave me but unfortunately they only had the size I needed, 30K, available in white and my preference was for the nude.

Thankfully, the fab team at Freya heard about my bra search and very kindly sent me the nude balcony bra in 30K and matching high waisted briefs in XL.
I have been fortunate enough to have had the Ewa MichalakPL Cappuccino set in my possession for quite some time now and I have been wearing it so much that I hadn't got round to taking photos for a review! That probably says all you need to know about this set - it's a firm favourite of mine and now it's time for me to tell you all about it.
If you're a regular reader of my blog you'll be very familiar with my love for Anna Scholz's stunning plus size designs. Sadly I am not in a position to be able to afford items from her own label so I am eternally grateful that I can get designer plus size fashion at a snip thanks to her collaborative line with Simply Be. When I was recently contacted by Simply Be I had a couple of dresses in mind, and one of them was this beautiful Anna Scholz for Simply Be Print Midi Dress (£56).
I have always wanted to own one of Collectif's wiggle dresses. Sadly for me, the cut simply does not work and no matter what size I try there are seemingly insurmountable problems with fit. I wear a size 10 or 12 in the Dolores Doll flared dresses but in the past I have found trying these sizes in the regular Dolores wiggle cut was a joke as I could barely get them over my head. I even tried sizing up to an 18 but even then the hips were very tight, despite the back gaping dreadfully, there being surplus boob room and of course the waist being very baggy on me. Now, I know my 46-30-47 figure is notoriously difficult to clothe, but having recently discovered the joys of faux vintage wiggle dresses thanks to Fuller Figure Fuller Bust and Pinup Girl Clothing, I decided to give Collectif another try.
Back in January I was fortunate enough to attend a fab event run by plus size fashion retailer Evans. A select group of bloggers got to try on a range of items from the forthcoming collections and we were spoilt with bubbly, hors d'oeuvres and fab company. Additionally, the Evans Shape Studio included the opportunity for us to get our hair and make-up done and pose in front of the camera in the gorgeous Evans clothing. One of the dresses I got to try on the day was the Live Unlimited Black Slinky Maxi Dress.
When I visited Leia Lingerie last year with Hanna from The Wardrobe Challenge, I was recommended by my lovely fitter, Julie, to try some bra strap cushions. I had seen these on places such as eBay and Amazon before and was keen to give them a try to see what they were like.
Since starting my blog, I have been regularly asked about Panache bras so I thought it was about time I reviewed one on here. The reason I haven't done so before is that I tried them years ago and found the wires to be crazily wide for me and the way too cups too tall. However, I have heard that Panache have a range of fits amongst their different styles of bra so when I placed a recent order with Bravissimo I decided to add the Panache Melody Balconnet bra to my basket to see if it worked for me.
I recently received my latest item to review from the wonderful AX Paris. I have been trying to select a range of different items from the brand in order to try out clothes I perhaps wouldn't normally or to see how different cuts work for me. On this occasion, I decided to have another try from the AX Paris Curve range, which stocks items from 16 to 26 (UK). I was spoilt for choice - such a wealth of pretty dresses! In the end, I settled on the AX Paris Curve V Front Lace Dress in Navy in a UK size 18.
